Palm oil export duty
Palm oil export duty is a tax on exports of CPO and derivatives whose rate follows the reference price; for October 2026 it is US$178 per MT (September US$148).
Export duty is collected by Customs under a Finance Ministerial Regulation (news-cited: PMK 38/2024 as amended by PMK 68/2025) and changes every month with the CPO reference price set by the Trade Ministry.
Do not confuse it with the export levy: export duty is state revenue, while the levy goes into the BPDP fund. Exporters pay both.
