Jakarta — The Indonesian Biomass Energy Society (MEBI) has opened registration for MEBI Biomass Business Matching 2026, a series of curated one-to-one meetings scheduled for 3–5 November 2026, from 10:00 to 16:00 Western Indonesia Time, at the MEBI Lounge in Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Kemayoran. MEBI's official Instagram announcement says registration closes on 27 October and meeting slots are limited.

MEBI is organising the programme in collaboration with HEATECH Indonesia 2026, which incorporates Expo Boiler and Expo Biomass. HEATECH lists MEBI among the exhibition's supporting organisations. The 10:00–16:00 window announced by MEBI is the schedule for the business-matching sessions, not necessarily the opening hours of the wider trade fair.

Meetings matched to commercial needs

According to MEBI, companies looking for buyers, suppliers or partners can join one-to-one meetings matched by biomass type, location and business requirements. MEBI directs applicants to bit.ly/MEBI-BizMatch in its announcement. When checked, the link redirected to a Google form requiring Google-account sign-in; prospective participants should confirm access to the form before the registration deadline.

The announcement is an invitation to explore business relationships, not evidence that any supply contract, investment or purchase has been agreed. MEBI's post does not identify confirmed buyers, commodity prices or a target value for deals. Any eventual commercial result would need confirmation from the parties involved.

Expo Biomass provides the event setting

HEATECH's official website confirms that the exhibition is scheduled for 3–5 November 2026 at Jakarta International Expo, with Expo Biomass among its components. Its exhibit profile includes biomass fuels, biomass boilers, biomass products and technologies, alongside industrial heating equipment, pumps, valves and energy-management systems.

The main exhibition is a trade-only event requiring registration. HEATECH lists opening hours of 10:00–18:00 on 3 and 4 November and 10:00–16:00 on 5 November. Those hours should not be confused with MEBI's 10:00–16:00 business-matching programme on all three days. Participants arranging meetings should use the MEBI schedule.

What it means for Indonesia's palm oil sector

For palm oil businesses, a biomass marketplace may offer a chance to explore demand for suitable solid residues from plantations and processing. The MEBI announcement, however, does not identify a dedicated palm oil session, confirmed palm oil companies or contracts for any particular feedstock. The link to the palm oil supply chain is therefore a potential commercial avenue, not a reported transaction.

Solid biomass for industrial heat should also be distinguished from liquid biodiesel blended into diesel. Both are forms of bioenergy, but their feedstocks, processing routes, customers and markets differ. Businesses considering meetings would benefit from preparing details of material type, reliably available volume, quality, supply location and logistics.

The event dates, venue and deadline in this article reflect the organisers' plans as of 20 October 2026. Prospective participants should check MEBI's and HEATECH's official channels again before travelling or making commercial commitments.
