Biodiesel allocation (allocation decree)
Biodiesel allocation is the division of biodiesel volume (kilolitres) among producers and fuel companies, set annually by the Energy Ministry through a ministerial decree.
The initial 2026 allocation (Decree 439.K/EK.01/MEM.E/2025, announced 23 December 2025) was 15,646,372 kL for 26 BU BBN and 32 BU BBM, effective 1 January 2026 for the B40 target. For B50, Argus (29 July 2026) reported 16.7 million kL; the EBTKE Director General said needs are 16 to 18 million kL and quotas may be revised periodically.
The 2025 allocation (Decree 345.K/EK.01/MEM.E/2024) was about 15.6 million kL. The PSO and non-PSO split is explained in PSO / non-PSO.
