Tangerang — Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026 began its five-day programme at ICE BSD City on Wednesday, 14 October 2026. The official day-one agenda places business matching between exhibitors and international buyers at the centre of activities from 10:00 to 17:00, alongside the opening ceremony, memorandum-of-understanding signings and an evening networking event.

For the palm oil and biodiesel industries, the first day is an opportunity to turn exhibition participation into targeted business meetings. TEI’s directory lists the Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP), the Indonesian Biofuel Producers Association (APROBI), the Indonesian Oleochemical Manufacturers Association (APOLIN), and PT Jhonlin Agro Raya, which operates a biodiesel plant.

Business matching runs throughout day one

TEI’s official schedule says business meetings take place in Halls 3, 5 and 7. The programme connects Indonesian exporters with international buyers according to product interest, sourcing requirements, industry sector and commercial objectives. The opening ceremony was scheduled for 13:00–15:00, followed by an MoU signing ceremony at 15:00–16:00 and TEI Night at 18:00–21:00.

The sequence matters because export transactions are not determined by visitor numbers alone. Businesses must identify suitable buyers and explain product specifications, production capacity, sustainability requirements and delivery capability before discussions can develop into contracts.

The Ministry of Trade said buyers from 113 countries had registered before the exhibition. India, China, Nigeria, Malaysia and Egypt accounted for the largest buyer groups. TEI 2026 targets USD 17.5 billion in potential transactions, with around 1,500 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors.

Mapping palm oil and biodiesel participants

BPDP is listed at Hall 3A, Booth 3A-5, under agriculture products, CPO, CPO derivatives and vegetable oil. APROBI and APOLIN also appear in the directory at the same booth. APROBI’s profile says it represents renewable biofuel producers, particularly biodiesel and bioethanol, while APOLIN represents the oleochemical and organic-chemical segment of downstream palm processing.

PT Jhonlin Agro Raya is listed at Hall 5, Booth 5-3, under CPO and CPO derivatives. Its official TEI profile says the company operates a biodiesel plant with a processing capacity of 1,500 tonnes per day, in addition to palm oil and cooking oil facilities.

The entries allow buyers to view a broader palm value chain, from CPO and vegetable oils to oleochemicals and biofuels. An exhibitor listing does not mean that every participant is offering an export biodiesel transaction at TEI. Products, volumes, destination markets and partnership structures require confirmation through business meetings or official announcements.

What matters to biofuel buyers?

Buyers seeking biofuel products can use TEI to assess FAME or related product specifications, supply capacity, sustainability certification, feedstock traceability, logistics and destination-market compliance. For Indonesian producers, these questions test whether domestic production capabilities can translate into export opportunities beyond the national blending mandate.

TEI’s relevance is not limited to finished fuels. Biodiesel co-products and supporting industries—including glycerine, palm-based chemicals, processing technology, equipment and logistics services—may form part of downstream-industry discussions when offered by relevant participants.

Media Biodiesel analysis: Media Biodiesel’s first TEI 2026 article mapped exhibitors and the scale of the exhibition. The next evidence to monitor is whether day-one meetings produce MoUs, trade contracts, investments or identified buyers for CPO, oleochemicals and biofuels. Without those details, the biodiesel opportunity remains at the networking and exploratory stage.

TEI 2026 continues until 18 October. The first three days use a B2B format, while Saturday and Sunday combine B2B and B2C access. Programmes may change, so visitors should check the organiser’s latest schedule and venue information.
