Jakarta — This infographic updates Indonesia's monthly biodiesel market index price (HIP) through November 2026. The latest benchmark is IDR 14,312 per litre before transport costs, down IDR 760 or 5.04% from IDR 15,072 in October. The chart includes 32 months with sourced readings from January 2024 to November 2026 and leaves gaps where no verified monthly figure was found. For November it follows a signed Energy Ministry letter and calculation annex, not the conflicting text on the ministry announcement webpage.

October's high followed by a November decline
The lowest recorded point in the chart is IDR 10,896 per litre in January 2024, while October 2026 is the highest at IDR 15,072. November stands at IDR 14,312 per litre. It is still 31.4% above the January 2024 starting point despite its month-on-month fall. These are monthly procurement benchmarks in rupiah per litre before transport costs, not daily crude palm oil prices or diesel pump prices.
The broken line in February–March 2024 and January 2025 signifies months for which our HIP dataset has no verified sourced reading. A blank does not mean that the price was zero, ceased to apply, or necessarily matched an adjacent month. The infographic displays recorded monthly data and can be revised when better source documents emerge.
Why the signed letter takes precedence
EBTKE letter B-3659/EK.05/DJE.B/2026, dated 26 October, sets November's biodiesel HIP at IDR 14,312 per litre effective 1 November 2026. Its calculation annex agrees. Yet an EBTKE webpage headed “HIP BBN Jenis Biodiesel Bulan November 2026”, dated 2 November, says IDR 15,072 and effective 1 October in its body text. Those webpage figures correspond to October, as previously reported by InfoSAWIT. We follow the signed November document, disclose the discrepancy, and will check any subsequent official correction.
For November, the annex uses an average KPB crude palm oil price of IDR 14,926 per kilogram and an average Bank Indonesia middle exchange rate of IDR 17,942 per US dollar over 25 September–24 October 2026. It also specifies USD 85 per metric tonne for converting CPO into biodiesel and a factor of 870 kilograms per cubic metre. Transport costs are added separately under the applicable rule, so the headline IDR 14,312 does not include them.
Read the benchmark in context
HIP is a reference price for biodiesel procurement in Indonesia's mandatory blending programme. It should not be confused with the retail price of subsidised biodiesel blend (Biosolar), an exchange-traded CPO quote, or realised incentive payments. The November decline alone does not establish a fall in consumer diesel prices or a change in the Plantation Fund Management Agency's (BPDP) total financing needs. See the price dashboard for separate fuel and palm-oil series, and our November HIP report for details of the document discrepancy.
The landscape cover and portrait chart embedded here are dated November 2026 snapshots. Unlike an undated chart file that changes when the underlying dataset is updated, these dated copies preserve the figures and context used when this article was published.
